 Some Difficulties to Visit Other Country

During winter vacation, I traveled to Cancun, Mexico with my friends. This city is located in southeastern Mexico and on the Caribbean Sea. Cancun is famous of tourism area because it has beautiful ocean, springs, and historic buildings. Even though I visited this city in December, and I felt summer weather in there because of location. I enjoyed sightseeing, snorkeling and eating there. However, during Cancun trip, there were some hard things I had to do. But, I think they are also important thing if you go to other country.

First, it was difficult to protect myself because this trip was my first trip without parents. When I visited another country with my mother before, I just followed her. My mother had my passport and something important. However, I had to protect everything I have by myself during this trip. For example, when we went to the sea, we had to leave from our bags or stuff. Therefore, we decided to watch them in turn. Furthermore, whenever we walked, we brought our bags in front of our body. Additionally, avoiding persistent salesperson is also to protect myself. When we went out of Cancun airport, many salespeople approached and told us “We have many plans of tourism. It’s cheaper than other company.” Because we made plan before visiting Cancun, we refused these offers many times.

Second, to adapt the way of living in Cancun and culture was difficult for me. For example, we must not flush toilet paper in toilet, so we had to toss it in the box. I was so surprised because it was my first experience. I cared about smell and sanitation, but I could stand them. Another surprising thing is there are many homeless and poor people. When we walked around the market, we often saw people who searched for something in the garbage can. I was puzzled to be requested some money or food.

Third, we could not make ourselves understood in Spanish. When I went to Isla Mujeres Island, which is far away from main island, most people live in there spoke Spanish. However, because I had never learned Spanish, it was difficult to communicate with these people. For example, when I ordered my lunch, I could only pointed the picture of dish. For this experience, I thought I should have learned some words or phrase in Spanish.

In conclusion, to visit other country has some difficulties, which is to protect myself, to adapt the way of living and not to use English. However, at the same time, it is important things if you go to other country. Therefore, if you decide to take a trip, you should pay attention to your bag, accept other culture and learn language which is used in the area that you will visit. Thank you for reading.

                                                               Living in Apartment or Home stay

     Many student are annoying about their house because there are some opinions about housing. Some people think that living in an apartment is better than home stay because they are able to make free time and they are able to eat their favourite food. However, other think that home stay students is better than living in apartment students because they do not have to spend money about food or water. From my view point, living in an apartment is better than home stay for these thesis.

     The first and foremost advantage of living in an apartment is that students are able to make free time because they do not have time to go back to their house. For example, if they go outside to buy some foods at night, they are able to go outside whenever they want. If they home stay in their host family’s house, they are not able to go outside at night because their home stay family are monitoring them. Also, host family will not forgive them to go outside in night. Therefore, living in an apartment has an advantage to do something which they want to do.

     In addition, another advantage of the idea in question is that students living in an apartment are able to make their favourite food and eat favourite one. For example, if they miss Japanese food, they are able to make it by them selves. However, if home stay students ask their home host family, they are not able to make it because they do not know how to make it.Therefore, students living in apartment is better than home stay.

     In contrast, a disadvantage of the issue in question is that it is difficult for students living in an apartment to save money. For example, if they do not live in home stay, they need to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner because they live alone. Also, they sometimes need to buy convenience goods.Therefore, they may be stressed by wasting money everyday. As a result, home stay is better than living alone to save money.

     To sum up, I am an advocate of living in an apartment because, from my view point, the advantages far outweigh its a disadvantage. Moreover, I concede that living in an apartment is suitable for making their own time, but students in home stay is better about saving money.

Samah- Balanced Health

Balanced Health

Have you ever suffered from unbalanced health? Some people think that they are busy at work, while others believe that they do not have a time due to their relationships have expanded, so they are busy to connect with their families and friends, but both sides share in that they do not care about their health although the general health is very important for everyone. In fact, people should eat healthy food and do some exercises, and encourage their children to have balanced health.

            One recommendation for being healthy is to decrease eating unhealthy food. The main problem is people eat already prepared, unhealthy, or fast foods. For example, many people eat fast food and stand in front of TV. Unfortunately,  as a result, they suffer from obesity because they eat more foods when they watch TV. The logical solution is increasing healthy choices when they eat, so that will minimize the percentage of obesity, and then people can overcome diseases such as diabetes, heart problems, or blood pressure, so the productivities of people will rise whether in the workplace or in life.

            Another suggestion to solve this problem with health is the performance of kinetic activities. The problem is many people do not exercise. To give an example, in my country, the concept of exercise is not present. The perfect solution is people need to do some exercises to burn calories in their bodies. At least they need to walk three times a week to improve their health. When people walk, they do not only burn calories, but they also take energy. This energy helps them to complete their work and achieve their goals and their ambition. Therefore, physical health will grow incredibly due to they do exercise. In other words, people who exercise frequently have good fitness, so they can live easily and youthfully.

            The last and most essential way to have balanced health is to motivate kids to change their habits. The biggest issue is that the children do not play any game which demands some moves. They always sit in front of the television and just watch it. Also, they play on iPod or play station, so they play in the same place without any movements. The favorite approach to tackle this problem is that the kids should be encouraged by their parents. The parents need to join their children in the activities that can be done outdoors instead of playing indoors. This method will cause protecting kid's brains from light rays ,which come from TV or iPod and keeping on children's eyes. Moreover, parents need to motivate their kids to avoid fast food because this food will affect their physical health.

            In conclusion, eating healthy meals, practicing sport exercises, and motivating children are three ways to make fair health. If people have good health around the world, the rate of diseases will decrease. I have a recommendation that is protecting is better than a thousand treatment. 

Lim's Homework- Traveling in U.S

           Have you traveled another country or planned for traveling? How’s your feel when you travel or plan to trip? If you have traveled another country, you compared time your car with public transportation. When you want to travel around here, it often compares time in which you want to go. I arrived January 2, 2017. I wanted to travel all around U.S. in Korea. But there are many problems for traveling all around here.
           First, it spends much time for public transportation. When I came to U.S., I couldn’t believe difference between public transportation and using own car. Using public transportation spends more 4 hours than using own car. So, if you want to travel U.S, you have to have a car or rent a car. For example, I planned to go to Santa Monica Beach, but it takes 4 hours if I use transportation. But If I rent a car, it would be only 1 hour 30 minutes. In addition, I visited LA and San Diego. When I rent a car, I could see all L.A. But, In San Diego, I didn’t rent a car. Therefore, I couldn’t see all city but only famous places. I just see few thing because there are few public transportation.
           Second, there are many homeless or house-poor. I don’t mean they are bad guys because it’s not their fault but changing financial condition around them. But, for commuters, like me, can feel nervous when they come to our and demand me to give money. When I visited San Diego, there is few homeless. But, in Los Angeles, there are many people who demand money to me. I was so scary because it was first time to meet someone who demands money on street. T
           Then, isn’t there any solution for traveling U.S? I think U.S should increase their public transportation. Public transportation means government has to prepare enough transportation when people want to use. In addition, I think it will be profit not only commuters who travel U.S but also resident who lives in U.S because car is harmful to environment because of their oil or fuel energy. If many people use more public transportation, more energy is efficient in U.S. Other ways, Government should increase police officer in the street. Safety is the most important thing which travelers chose country. In addition, there are few threatening to travel well. In conclusion, Better conditions for commuters would be attractive for traveling U.S.

 

Japanese toilet-Yurika

Have you been to Japan? or have you thought about Japan? Well, most you guys don’t know about Japan, which is my home country. I would like to tell about Japan, which is well known as a clean country. According to “Japanese toilet technology”, Japan is a world leader in toilet technology and boasts some of the most high-tech bathrooms in the world. Many Japanese homes have toilets that are equipped with innovative flushing, seat warming, and automated bidet functions. But, most foreigners don’t know that how can use it, and how can we do our businesses with it. I think using toilets in a foreign country is the best way to know their culture, so I want to tell you about our toilets. There are three steps to use it.

             First, you can choose two different type of toilet as a traditional type or western type. Traditional type is kind of heard to use it for foreigners. Even for some of Japanese avoid using this type. When you use traditional type, you have to have plenty of knowledge. So, you might use western type, which is use by many countries.

             Second, there is a gadget that makes loud flushing sound if you want to hide embarrassing business noises. Most of Japanese feel embarrassed about toilet noises, so most toilets in Japan have this gadget, which we call “Otohime”.

           Third, using toilets shower. Many western toilets in Japan have a shower which is for clean your bottom when you finish your businesses. Some foreigner uses it for wash their hand, but it is a wrong way to use. This shower was made in Japan so you can use anywhere.   

             And now, Narita International Airport, which located in Chiba, has taken toilet cleanliness to a new level. A Japanese mobile company provides toilet paper for “smartphone”. You may wonder why a Japanese company provides this. According to the company, they did a questionnaire for foreigners, and foreigners said that toilet in Japan is a place which they feel Japanese a heart of hospitality, so they want them to feel more Japanese hospitality in toilets. Also, a company show same fact that our smartphones have many germs, so they think it is useful and helpful. And, I found some video for you guys!! It is so much fun!! Here is a video I found.

I hope you use smartphone toilet paper in the future!! You can use it only in Japan!! Thank you for reading!!

 In the past, animals were spread all over the world. Nowadays, the extinction of animals and the wildlife has become a serious problem which is caused by humans. According to the article “The Extinction Crisis,” many lands are in danger because of human activities. Also, the death of these animals will impact on everyone, and the food chain will be changed. Other reason is, animals help human activities in most of their work. They carry heavy items and help us in farming. If they die, humans will suffer because of the hard work we will face. Also, scientists use animals for laboratory researches. If animals are dying, it’s going to be hard to find new medicine. However, people and the government can work together to figure out solutions for this problem. 

 One solution is that governments must pass laws and hire guards to make sure that animals are under protection, and that people get to obey the laws. However, the laws that government pass must also focus at hunters. Hunting and poaching must be stopped because they only look for rare animals for own greed. If governments stopped the hunters, animals will be able to grow up and increase their numbers because they are safe. 

 Another solution is to build nature reserves. People can donate money and help the government to build nature reserves. Nature reserves will be effective against hunters, and they will end up alive and survive in their lands. Other reason to provide nature reserves is, people can get entertainment when they watch the animals.

 According to the article, “Protection priorities” the main focus in their system for building nature reserves is to protect the lands and animal habitats.

 One of the main causes to animal extinctions is, factories and the destruction they cause.

However, every problem will end up with a solution, and the solution is building factories in another spot very far from forest, that would lead to many benefits. For example, animals would survive also, they will be able to grow up and increase their numbers.

 In the end, all the obstacle would be removed if the governments and the people join hand to solve the problem. Also, following the lows and building the nature reserves might help the animals to survive. Finally, animal’s habitat would be increased if manufacture are going to build their factories in a place far from factories. My advice to everyone is to join hands and be like a chain hard to break it.

Let me introduce Plato philosophy.


Plato philosophy is my major in university.


I read some of Plato’s document and I have very impressed about it’s topic and writing.


Some of modern philosopher called Plato as King of Philosophy.


All of western Philosophical work is reply of Plato philosophy.


Plato is Greek Philosopher. And his birth is BC 428 and death 348.


He educated with Socrates who is wiser of philosophy.


Socrates is teacher of many young people of Athens.


Some of people annoyed at his teach, and decided to kill him.


And stand him legal statement. And decide to him a final decision.


After his teacher's unfortunately politic death, Plato decided to make great politician-philosophy.


He is not just a kind of politician, but a kind of politic philosopher.


He advices many wise decision to various king. But his dream isn’t worked.


He opened a kind of university, named Academia which is origin of modern university.


We called a study or research in university or institution “ACADEMIC” work.


Academic is originated from Academia which is first high-level educational institution.


And He argued the philosopher must be prime-politician.


And He argued the philosopher politician is most happy, and have most virtues.


The main idea of his philosophy is IDEA which is essence of situation and things ... ect.


IDEA is originated from Allegory of the Cave.


In the Cave, There is no one who could see the outside(called essence in literatual mean,)


But There is one who escape the Cave and See outside, especially SUN.


SUN is Allegory of  IDEA of Goodness.


And he return to cave, and teach people about REAL-WORLD.


But He neglected by people at first.


Nevertheless He became a leader.


This is a brief explanation of the story of Allegory of the cave.


And Return Plato’s personal life, He have many brilliant student in Academia.


One of them is Aristotle who is completing Ancient Greek philosophy.


Aristotle blame his teacher’s theory, called IDEA thesis.


Aristotle opened Lykeion which has similarity with Plato’s Academia.


And Aristotle is teacher of The Great Alexander who is emperor of Ancient unity world.


Great Alexander spread Greek literature and philosophy to entire world.


So many people called that era Hellenism. It is mixture of orient and western culture, picture, religion, and philosophy.


There is a lot of literature and movie about this era (Hellenism).


This is briefer course of telling about Plato.
