Using Smart Phone In the Class

       We mostly take our smart phones with us wherever we go. We feel bad If we forgot to take them with us. That is how our smart phones are important to us. Some places are not allowed us to bring our phones with us such as schools by some teachers or even the rules there. However, bringing smart phones inside the class could be helpful for several reasons.   

      I think it is very beneficial to take your smart phone with you in the class. First, smart phone can be as learning tool. For example, you can find the exact meaning of the new words that you are studying by just click the button. This can save your time and your effort in compare with searching the meaning of the new words in the dictionary which has many definitions of the same words. Also, if your teacher asks you to find synonyms or even antonyms of some words, you can do it by using your phone. Another example is that you can also use your phone to do research about whatever you are studying during the class, so you don’t have to wait until the bell rings to go to the school library! Second, helping to take note can be part of your phone’s job. If you are not a fast writer, you don’t have to worry about failing to take down notes anymore. You just need to take a picture of what you don’t have time to write on the board during the class. What if Your teacher doesn’t write notes on the board! It is easy you just need to record his voice during the class, but don’t forget to take a permission from him. Third, buying books can be expensive for some students, and carrying them most of the week can be really fatigued. However, with smart phone, you can avoid these problems. In other words, you can save both money and weight. For instance, you could download the books that you need for school in your phone that called E-books, so no more worry about forgetting the books at home or being tired of carrying it almost every day.

        On the other hand, many people claim that taking smart phones inside the class is harmful. First, they think that smart phones will distract students from schoolwork because students can use social media or even contact with others during the class. This is not the case, teachers can put limits for using phones inside the class by creating specific kind of WI-FI that doesn’t allow students to enter some apps such as social media apps during the school. Also, skeptics among the people say that many problems can be caused by using the phones in the class. Cheating during exams will be easier with phones. Copying online answer will be common among the students. But the fact is that teachers can prohibit bringing phones in the class if there is a test instead of just prevent them at all.

     To sum up, using smart phone during the class is more helpful than harmful. We can use it as research tool by searching for the meaning of new words or even finding synonyms and antonyms for them. Also, it can be very useful to take note by taking picture or recording voice. In addition, it can help you to save money and weight by using E-books instead of physical versions. Regardless of the fact that some people thinks it causes problems and distract students, we can avoid the bad sides of it.
