The importance of sleep

        Although Sleep is natural thing that all creatures do it every day until they pass away, it plays an important role in our health. Many people don’t have a full idea about sleeping. They think that sleeping just makes them rest. However, sleep has many benefits that could particularly affect our bodies and our lifestyles. So, what are the benefits that we get from sleeping?
Advantages of sleeping-well:

            Sleep provides us with many advantages. First, sleep is important for brain health. Many people think that when we are sleeping our brains are sleeping too. However, our brains do many things while we are sleeping. For example, the brain prepares for the next day during the sleep. It somehow processes information to helps us make decisions while we are awake according to the article “5 Amazing Things Your Brain Does While You Sleep”. Also, during the sleep the brain creates new memories and links them with the old memories that would provide us with enough memories for the following day, so sleep play important role in learning according to the same article. Second, enough sleep can make us live longer. In 2010, study of women ages from 50 to 79 was conducted. It showed that women who sleep less than 5 hours are more likely to die according to the article “Live longer?”. Third, sleep has good impacts for our bodies. For instance, the body uses almost all the night to heal and restore damaged cells and tissues that caused during the day. Also, the body produces growth hormones that are responsible for growth and aging of human body according to the article “23 Incredible Benefits of Getting More Sleep”. Finally, with sleeping-well we can avoid many diseases especially cordial diseases.  According to a 2011 study by the American Heart Association, lack of sleep is connected to an increased risk of high blood pressure, a potential cause of heart disease. These are a sample of many benefits of sleeping-well.
      In conclusion, sleep is very essential for both our brain and body health. It provides the brain with time and rest to prepare for the next day, and make new memories combined with build links between them and the early memories that is an important role in learning new things. Also, sleeping-well could provide us with long life, and prevent many illnesses. In addition, many crucial biological processes happen while we are sleeping, so we have to sleep well and enough.
