Some
people believe that it is better for students to live in a city without a lot
of leisure activities and pleasure places than in cities with many places to
visit; however, others argue that big cities have a lot of fun time which aid
students to do the best in their studying. Riverside is one of the most popular
cities in California to live and study, but some people claim that it is a boring
city. Personally, I prefer to study in Riverside on account of several reasons.
First of all, the primary reason behind my
preference to Riverside as a good place to study is the location. The site of
Riverside is located in the best area. California is one of the fabulous states
in the United States, and Riverside is situated in the Southern California.
Several cities which have a lot of pleasure places including huge shopping malls,
fancy restaurants, and beautiful beaches are near Riverside, so you can go to
different places on the weekends.
In
addition, the second reason to hold this opinion about Riverside is the price.
As everyone know, Riverside has been considered the cheapest facet compared to
other cities in California. As opposed to other cities, located in California,
Riverside has had reasonable prices in the houses rent, for example.
One more
reason to prefer studying in Riverside is the fact that the weather is
suitable. It does not go down under zero Celsius Degree, so many students can
live in this scope without any problem that may attack their bodies and health
because of the cooler weather. As a result, they can do the best in their
studying to achieve their goals.
From the
other side, the opponents of this idea say that there is a lack of activities
and tourism and entertainment places in Riverside; consequently, Riverside is
very boring. The shortcoming of huge malls and diverse restaurants can be
mentioned by those people who hold the contrary opinion.
I admit
that everyone needs to entertain himself or herself to feel comfortable and
perform the studying tasks in a proper way, but that is not the case. The truth
is, however, that everybody does not have time to amuse himself or herself, and
there are many cities which are near Riverside. Some of them take less than one
hour to arrive it by car, so if you have a private car, you can enjoy through
visiting many cities on the weekends. Moreover, in reality, for that reason which
skeptics point out above, I can allude to the fact that Riverside may be a bad
choice for tourists who expect several places to visit it, but it is a good
environment for students to study hard and without any disruptions.
In
conclusion, I think that Riverside is one of the best cities to study in the
U.S. because of the site, the prices, and the weather. It is true that it
sometimes seems as a boring city, but as students it is a good city to reach our
dreams and aims.
