Trip to Big Bear Mountain

         I had an exciting experience last January. Four of my friends and I decided to visit Big Bear mountain the following weekend instead of staying in Riverside. A few days before the weekend, we went to the store to buy heavy jackets, gloves and boots to prepare for our trip. We were very excited for the new adventure, so we were impatiently waiting for the weekend.

        On Saturday, we were in Riverside. We were sleeping at my friend’s apartment until the alarm woke us up at 6:00. After we woke up, we had a quick breakfast. Then, we prepared our equipment and put them inside the car. My friend who would drive the car did a final check to make sure that we didn’t forget anything. While we were driving close to the mountain, the weather became colder and we noticed some snow on the top of the cars that were coming from the mountain on the left side of the road. The more we got closer to our destination the more traffic we faced.

         An hour later, we finally reached our destination. As we were driving in the mountain, I was looking at the snow through the window. I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. I thought I was dreaming. I had never seen real snow in my life before. As soon as we parked the car, the car was empty! Everyone was running outside to feel the snow in their hands. I did my first steps on the snow with total astonishment as if I was walking on the moon. Everyone was taking pictures except for me. I was looking at the snow surrounding me. I couldn’t let my eyes ignore this nature beauty. I was surprised how quickly my friends started using their phones and stopped looking at this amazing view. Few minutes later, we played with the snow. We threw the snow at each other and tried to make a snowman. After an hour, we went to big lake that is in the top of the mountain. Most of it was frozen.

         About two hours later, it started to become dark. we were cold and tired of playing, so we decided to go back to home. I was glad that we had decided to go to big bear mountain. It was the most amazing trip that I have ever had in US.
