Can you imagine how you influenced science on nutrition to choose your food? When we hear from scientists that certain food is good, we follow simply this suggestion because we think scientists are experts so they might have more knowledge than we do. In the article, “Anatomy of a nutrition Trend”, the writer says that the media influenced a lot on our food. Unlike people who follow scientists comment, some people assume that the all we need is just eat what we want to because food trends are changing with time. When it comes to our healthy, we are always confused because we have different information each food. Is following what scientists say really important for our health?
When it comes to our health, we consider carefully choosing what to eat. Then, we research what to eat and what to avoid. In the article, “Science for sale”, written by Patrick Mustain, the writer says that we are easy to follow health than common sense. When a big nutrition research is published like “avoid all of fat”, we follow the research, then we might stop eating food including fat. Although though it doesn’t mean that we should stop eating food including fat, it means that we should avoid extra fat. We should consume fat to live Healthily. Moreover, some scientists have a sponsorship with some company, so they can’t publish research which influences badly against the company’s products. Moreover, most young age people try poor diets. They limit their food to lose their weight in wrong way. When some diet experts say that you should avoid something if you want to lose your weight, they follow that, even though it is not in healthy ways because the experts use some scientific study to show it is right.
For these reasons, I think that the science on nutrition influence not always us in right way, but we should keep looking new studies. It is important to think our belief and attitudes because the science on nutrition is changing on what is our belief and what we want to. Even though there is much information about nutrition, we have to choose on our belief and attitudes. Also, before you decide that this information is good, you should some research and compare to information which is challenging against the information you heard or saw. Also, don’t rely on only information which based on scientific logic, and don’t trust the product labels before you do some research.
