Have you ever heard about KIDULT? Nowadays, you be able to easily see the people who hang around kid’s toy zone in the mart. Do you know why they are hanging around kid’s toy zone? Because they are Kidult! Kidult, a word that a combination of the words 'kid' and 'adult, refers to adults who actively consume toys, comics, characters, etc., which were considered to be children's exclusive items. The so-called “kidult culture” has become a popular rising cultural phenomenon with increasing numbers of kidults in recent years. From now, I’m going to explain why kidult culture has become a popular rising cultural phenomenon.

 Suddenly rising the kidult culture is caused by many things, there are two main factors. The first factor is tendency try to escape the dull, repetitive daily and keen competition. People who live in modern time want to escape boring life so they have find out new way to escape boring life through going back kids. Keen competition let us look back on our dreams and fantasies that we had as so keen competition makes for purity. Some experts explain that, “The reason for the kidult culture boom is that the mind of adults who want to go back to childhood can resolve through the toys, cartoons, etc. Even after they are in 20s or older, they still treasure their mood and emotion of their childhood. So they want to remind the various memories they had experienced during their childhood. The Kidult culture stimulates the nostalgia of adults as a child and it has become an enjoyable play and a hobby for adults.

 The second one is breaking of fixed idea. Hobby activities that are considered childish have been suppressed. Because the society forced the fixed desirable adult character. However, the people who had hostility to these stereotypes became interested in the Kidult culture as they were equipped with purchasing power. Kidult culture is not a stress-related degeneration phenomenon, but rather a process in which adults who are interested in some toys originally visit their tastes.

 Thus, It does not have to be weird that an adult is looking for a toy. They just want to have some fun. If money is used to make oneself joy and happy, it is really attractive consumption. For the Kidult, toys are just a small indulgence. It is enough if you are happy without needing to know. Sometimes you can forget about your age.
